Keeping proactive in treating diabetes is a challenge in the time of the restrictions of pandemic. Two top Hackensack Meridian Health experts, one a researcher and the other a clinician, will take part in a “Diabetes Dialogue” virtual talk open to the public to share information about the latest developments.
David Perlin, PhD, chief scientific officer and senior vice president of the Hackensack Meridian Center for Discovery and Innovation (CDI), and Colette M. Knight, M.D., chair of the Hackensack University Medical Center’s Diabetes Institute, and division director of Endocrinology and Metabolism in the hospital’s Department of Internal Medicine, and associate professor of medicine, will be taking part in the webinar on Nov. 4 at 6:30 p.m.
The scientists are expected to talk about the challenges of navigating the current landscape – but also with a look into the future of research for treatment and monitoring.
The panel will be moderated by Lindsey Inserra, vice president of Inserra Supermarkets ShopRite, who is also an advocate for diabetes patients and families.
The event is complimentary, but required registration to attend. RSVP at hackensackumcoundation.org/diabetesdialogues OR contact Bill Evans at William.firstname.lastname@example.org.
