Clinical Research Environment

The HUMC John Theurer Cancer Center has more than 300 ongoing clinical trials conducted independently and in partnership with government- and private-research centers and pharmaceutical companies, research consortiums, patient advocacy groups and the National Institutes of Health. Many of these trials involve innovative treatment and patient support for patients with hematological and related cancers and those undergoing stem cell transplantation. The clinical trials are supported by the David and Alice Jurist Institute, which occupies 55,000 sq. ft. and provides administrative services, a library, conference rooms, and a lecture hall equipped with the latest audio-visual technology.
